Career Center is a partnership among the following agencies:

Employment
Security Commission
Job search (self-directed and assisted), job-seeking skills
development, resume preparation, career assessment, job placement
assistance, unemployment benefits, vocational counseling, NAFTA/TAA
benefits and labor market information.

Montgomery
Community College
College academics and vocational programs, GED testing and preparation
classes, high school completion, adult basic education, Human
Resources development specialized classes for seeing and gaining
employment and financial aid.

Montgomery
County Schools
Project CLASS will establish two Community Learning Centers
(CLS) at East and West Middle Schools. These centers will provide
academic, social and recreational activities for students and
members of the community duting after-school hours.

Pee
Dee Region Workforce Development Board
The Pee Dee Region Workforce Development Board provides oversight
and WIA (Workforce Investment Act) funding and programs for
the JobLink Career Center.

Division
of Vocation Rehabilitation
Job evaluation and job training services plus equipment and
medical assistance for job-seekers with physical and/or mental
disabilities.

Department
of Social Services
Childcare, food stamps, Medicaid, health resources, medical
insurance for children. Work First Program, Work First transportation,
if available, child support referrals and youth work permits.

Support Center

Troy Housing Authority
Works closely with the THA Tenants Association, residents and
all partners on adult and children's programs; organizes, plans
and directs the coordination of special programs and projects;
monitors all program regulatory developments and funding opportunities;
and envisions and secrues funding for new programs.
